Commission for Commissions?

I am on the hunt to find more commission work and I had a thought about sharing a appreciation cut of my commission payments with partners who can help me get much needed work to my direction. The cut amount would be 20% i.e $1 out of $5 commission payment, $10 out of $50, etc.

I'm not a highly social person and a attention getter, but I'm in need of extra work right now and I don't mind paying referral fees since I will be doing commissions as a temporary thing.

Good idea or bad idea? Any suggestion would be appreciated.
