Using quotes & lyrics within artwork

:iconmanofmann:
I am hoping someone can advise me on this.

I have been pulling together various quotes, phrases and song lyrics that sum up my feelings right now. I am not sure if I can publish the work, as I am not sure of the legal situation. All the quotes and lyrics have attributions after them.

Please can someone advise me?

Many thanks

My opinion is a direct quote or lyric, particularly when attribute, is fine to include in your artwork. I don't think it's plagiarism or theft unless you try to pass the quote/lyric off as your own.

Thank you.
I do not know the lyricists name, but I give the song title and artist or the film name

There is no legal ramification for using a quote or part of a song lyric. Words have no pattens. But if you want you can give the quote it's original author's name.
