I am looking for a drawing program

i am looking for a really good FREE drawing program. I tried downloading gimp, but it's not working for me. Can anybody help me out?

I don't know what's out there, or where I should look for it.

Paint.NET is a disaster of a program, try GIMP or MyPaint instead. MyPaint is somewhat immature in terms of interface, though.

There's something called Open Canvas that I used as a step between MS paint (yes, that oldschool, haha) and photoshop. It's pretty good from what I remember, though the latest versions cost money, there is still a free version available here: [link]

GIMP is one of the only really good free drawing programs that can be downloaded. May I ask what your issue with it is?
Have you considered PaintTool SAI? It's only $60, which is extremely cheap for all the amazing stuff it does.

i downloaded it multiple times, and it keeps saying the file is currupted. i have tried mirror after mirror. it just doesn't like me.

Are you downloading it from the official GIMP site or from a third party?
