I want to practice more of my light source and then mix them with color. What I mean is that um.. just look at the beautiful gallery pieces:

If you observe carefully, you can see how these colors are combined greatly on the light source. Do you guys have any tips or tutorials on that?

Oh, and sorry for my bad English.

gaaaaaah that's the way i've been trying to learn how to color *____* (i need to do more backgrounds... -___-) i love coloring and finding fun, bright ways to do it. so i really like this style.

idk just experiment and play around with color i guess? think about how one thing can be colored more than one color. (i'm working on a pic like that right now) instead of just blue water, how about adding some green in some parts? and then yellowish green in a few spots, instead of the green! or, an indigo tint in some other places in the water? the pic in the middle is what i am describing. so what i'm saying is, when you consider your light sources and you see where the lights shine on objects and create highlight and shadow, you don't just have to think about where to make things lighter and darker. you also can think about ways to stretch and tweak the color values here and there. what that means is: play around!! ^____^

i had to learn to think of my colors differently. well i'm still working on this now, i'm developing this mindset: instead of seeing each colored pencil or marker as one flat individual color, see each one as PIECES of bigger, better forms of color. like i said, one object can be colored with multiple pencils (or other tool) and the look of all those pencils COMBINED together- because each pencil is a PIECE of a larger-scale, better color- the combined look will turn out to be vibrant and exciting. this is what i am currently trying to teach myself, when it comes to colors. i'm not there yet, lol. but i'm learning it *_____*

and yeah as someone below said, white poster paint makes some glow effects! i like white acrylic paint too!

aww you don't have bad english ^____^

All 3 artworks gives out a glowy effect, if u want to do that on traditional art then I suggest using an double action airbrush, use poster paint and mix with yellow, blue and white, start with a very little equal amount of them all mixed together and try out to see if u need any more of each different colours. However u also need a compressor to be able to use the airbrush, I'm saving my money to buy a compressed gas aerosol, they are cheap but they run out fast.
Hope this helps ;)

Thanks. But, I'm not so sure if I can use an airbrush so I'll think about it.
