How do I get recognized?

Hello deviants,
I was just wondering how I could advertise myself more and get more people to view, comment and like my art. I think I have been just advertising to the wrong people, my work varies.
So how do you guys advertise your work? I really want some positive feedback on my art and while no one is looking, how am I supposed to do that?

dA is a large angry art machine. You get what you put into it. Comment, join groups, add faves, attack the thumbshare forums, generally just participate in the community. The more you take part and make yourself known to everyone, the more views you'll get.

Join groups, comment on other peoples' stuff, post in the Thumbshare forum, etc.

Also try advertising outside of deviantART, like at conventions and art walks.

If it's POSITIVE it's not pointing out the problems. Are you confusing 'positive' with 'constructive'?

It is the same, I'd say.
By saying 'positive' of course it means constructive. I'm not asking someone to point out how everything looks in a negative or malicious manner. More like a positive critique. Merely what I meant.

I want a positive critique where I receive feedback that will help me improve my work. Not just some asshole pointing out everything they don't like about my work.
