A couple of my works have been, but they always have been linked back to my dA gallery. Imagine my surprise when I searched my name and my username on Google, and all these tumblr results came up X)
Yeah, it's crazy, isn't it? I was surprised to see how many times this particular image of mine was reposted on tumblr. That's my main issue with the whole thing: I love that so many people are seeing something I made, but without the right credit nobody knows it's mine, and that means I'm missing out on all that interaction.
It was rather shocking X) Yeah, I found it amazing how many times certain works were noted. It's kind of helpful though, as it really tells me what styles are really clicking with people.
It has never happened to me but whenever I come across Tumblr posts of artist work that aren't sourced or credited, I always repost/reblog with the artist's dA name and link to the piece of artwork. It annoys me a bit, when Tumblr users don't credit or source the work. At least with Pinterest, you can visit the source, if it's used correctly.
I was instantly excited until I realized that the pin linked back to a tumblr account where the piece was posted without any credit to me.
Has this ever happened to you? What did you do about it?
