I want her to have long legs, long fluffy tail. Pointed snout, big ears. Skinny frame. Mmn. Hopefully chatting will help me out.
My first fursona was a skunk because frankly I like skunks. It somehow changed into a raccoon later though, dunno why...
But even later on it changed into a badger which I still have to this day, merely because badgers are not only awesome, they also remind me of me in various ways and they're the Netherlands' biggest predators.
Oh, and you could always go for a hybrid of the animals you like best if you really can't decide. x3 I like the idea of a snow leopard though, I don't see those a lot as people's fursonas!
I found my Fursona cause of my Acsndian primal spirit that resides within my own soul!
if you like all of zose creatures then why not try the Crisedions they are gigantic fluffy cat like creatures with rely furry tails and are rely cute when they are under the moon light! Sadly the Crisedions are not found on the internet for some odd reason but they are close to the Resitio hounds like this guy! --> [link] if you like i will make one to show you!
If you pick I'd maybe go with the otter or raccoon dog, I haven't seen them used much so they'd be different. (I've seen a few otters though, can't recall ever seeing a raccon dog) My 'sona' is as trite as they come, she's a wolf. XD Although I've moved away somewhat from the 'fursona' thing and the 'canine artist' thing and she's more just my general mascot now. I do somewhere have some super old and super bad sketches of when I was trying to 'make' her, they're kind of funny to look at as she sort of looked like a 'scene dog' to some extent before they were really a thing. (I was like 12 at the time and not that well versed in the ways of the internet) Her design has stayed quite consistant, although she gained some accessories, then a few of them got dropped mainly to make her easier to draw. She's also gained and lost markings over time too.
My Sona Jalek started as a random sketch-thingy, only colored because school was boring: [link] but somehow it stuck, so I drew him again and again for no real reason. A month later he got his first ref: [link] The spots soon turned out to be superfluous though (I forgot them constantly), the 4th leg reappeared and, as my overall drawing ability improved, I was able to give him a more distinct physique. This year came a new version: [link] bundled with the first anthro drawings. At the start I tried to justify his non-species specific looks with some magic bullshit and very mary-sue like tendencies -I even tried to give him an age and back story. In the end it was like I was trying to streamline my own personality, just so I could feel like less like the asshole I ocassionally am by giving him the traits I viewed as 'desirable' in myself. A person is not 'either...or' but most times both, depending on the circumstances. Without giving an in-depth analisys, let's just say I learned alot about myself and the necessity of grey, as opposed to a black-and-white approach to life. The important thing with coming up with a design is that you take something that comes naturally to you: If you like otters but would normally never draw them, chances are very high that your fursona will disappear within weeks. That's what it's like with 80% OC's and pretty much all adoptables.
Mine is a barnacle. Sessile crustaceans that foul ships by making their homes on the hull. I just love the sullen, unhelpful, antagonistic attitude of it.
