References for dynamic poses

I want to draw more dynamic poses, but unlike with static poses, it's pretty hard to find reference material for it. I've tried many sites focused on anatomy, but most of the poses are pretty static.

Does any of you know a good site or DA account that offers good reference material for dynamic poses? Preferably clear and a bit high-res so I can get a good gasp of what's happening.

Thanks in advance :)

I love [link] because it has a lot of dynamic poses and you can see the model's muscles and get a better idea of how they work. They also have a feature for gesture drawing where it will put up a different image for you for a set amount of time, and a negative space application plus a lot more. The only draw back is they don't have a lot of poses of people interacting, but overall it's a wonderful reference website.

I know that one as well, and use it a lot for perspective-related stuff. The only downside, I think, is that the poses are a bit limited. You're limited to standing and sitting poses... while I'd like something like running, falling or jumping ^^

I would recommend :iconmjranum: as a dA member that has wonderful photoref of dynamic poses. Great stuff, and high-quality images.

As for a book, Buddy Scalera's "Colossal Collection of Action Poses", which you can find on Amazon, is great. I love it!

If you've got a camera and tripod, or something to rest it on, you can set the camera on timer and photograph yourself in the pose. It's kind of awkward a lot of the time, and never really ideal, but it's always an option if you get desperate.

Well... the point is that I don't have a decent camera at home ^^
And to buy one, just to make reference pictures, would be a bit expensive

I have a book called "Dynamic Anatomy" by Hogwarth (hope I got his name right =w=" ), it hasn't got photos in it, but it's got anatomy drawings of figures in dynamic poses and such. :la: Might be useful to you

That certainly looks interesting. I will check if I can get my hands on it :)
Thanks for the advice
