Account moving problems

I didn't know which category to put this, so I'll just put it in the general forum

For just trying to move this one to another account, I have multiple problems in the process:

1) I couldn't download the swf animations into my computer and all I have for clicking the download button was the animation itself :(. Is there any way to get it into my files :?

2) After all the saving is done, it would be a lot of problem trying to repost all my saved deviations into the new account. Trying to credit all the fanart again.... getting accused for art theft even though they are actually from my old account ( I can't credit to the old account because people would know.)

3) What about the fanart for other deviants? I can't just delete them all since they are for them.

4) Is sharing accounts breaking the rules on deviantart? I don't like putting this account to waste though.... if so, I guess all the other questions above would be null.

When you go into "Download swf" you have to go into "file" and "click save page as"

then save it as an .swf file.

In chrome you do the same thing but use the "tool wrench" and "save as"

In firefox clisk "Download swf" then use the "save page" function

I don't think sharing accounts is against the rules, so you could just have 2 accounts and use them for different reasons! :D

Oh and for the record: This is the general ART forum. :) Meaning it's about general art topics, it's a common mistake though, so don't worry too much about it. Also the forum isn't really the place to ask for help, there's the FAQ section that is located at the bottom of every page on this site.

If you can't find the answer you're looking for in the FAQs: Either go to the help chatroom, or e-mail the Helpdesk. The helpdesk is slightly slower.

Welp, you are pretty right about the forum not being a very reliable place to ask for help, there are lots of trolls there e_e.

I managed to find my answer from looking at the FAQs ( and the other comment before this ), thanks for the help :)

Lol don't worry! It's a common mistake here! :) Could happen to anyone!

Glad to hear you found what you were looking for. Also just so you know the "Deviants" forum at the top is the one for conversations about pretty much anything  just so you know! The others are clearly labelled for the most part.

you can use Sothink Flash Downloader (Firefox add-on) to download the swf animations :)
