Sigh i mean i saw this tutorial

do they take the 3d model and redraw it this is cool technique but....
I don't want to be that artist who redraw stuff i like to learn from the things not to redoing it it does feel good and have a good final result but it also won't be that good for me
i mean i won't say anything bad about them it's just my opinion .

She makes her own models, the idea of this was to give the general feel rather than directing everyone to create a model, which they have to do themselves.. You would still need to learn the basics (look through her previous comments, which I don't think you have checked). It's same as learning from books, taking a ladder to the corner of a room and taking a declined shot of the room and learning from there. She knows how to use her different softwares and use them to their benifits as required. That's same as you using SAI or photoshop to paint your works in what style you want with whatever brush you want. If you have read through it, you will realize it will be already difficult for most if they are doing it in one time basis or don't have enough skills with the basics or the softwares. It's showing a way that things can be done, similarly to countless other tutorials you see in internet. There are other ways to do it and you are most welcome to try them rather than worry about a particular method. And Google Sketchup models and everything is free and you would have to see their terms of service since they are letting others use it for free, similar to using stocks and resources out there. You are free to make whatever complex model you want, and then use that to draw yourself seeing the guides and angles measuring them yourself to understand the geometry.

That's up to you whether you want to redraw or not or practice. Why wouldn't you be able to practice from it? :B
Plenty of tutorials and books on learning perspectives out there.

First I just used to draw boxes as I saw them to make them look 3D. But then my dad showed me the trick of doing it quickly by drawing two similar boxes diagonally and join the edges \o\ Same as using AutoCad to draw design plans. Use your tools as you have to.

You might as well learn from FZD youtube videos as they will help you as well.

And who says opinions cut out the fact that something is bad? :hmm:

I learned from school another way to draw in perspective but you need a long ruler and 3 pieces of paper (one of them you will be drawing on).
You tape the 2 pieces of paper to be the extension of your perspective but you will not draw on them.
it'll look like:
extension paper - the perspective piece - extension paper
(it might be a little hard to understand ;-; it was hard to understand with even visuals)

you measure where your horizon line is and put the dot on the extension paper if you measured for example 3 inches, you put it in both ends, but you have the choice to make the perspective closer or farther away by putting the dots closer to the perspective piece (to make it closer), or to make it seem faraway, put the dots as far to the edge of the paper.

connect the dots and it will create your horizon line.

Now to start drawing architecture!:
you only need the extension paper to emphasize the perspective, if you want to have a birds eye view, you make the dots higher, for a person walking in the street you need the dots in the middle, for a worms view, you make the dots in the bottom.

First, Draw a straight line (pointing up and down) and connect the lines end points to the dots and it will look like a diamond with a line through it. to make it a 3-d box use a ruler to both sides parallel to the line pointing up and down. the box will have it's edge pointing at you.
Once you know this you can explore other ways of perspective, but man, it took me 2 months to finish just a perspective piece and it wasn't that good... my proportions were all off, that's why I would prefer the model.
If it's confusing, it's very hard to explain >A< maybe if i can find a video...
