I prefer things that are unusual.

That can be traditional art, that explors an unusual idea, or a common idea in an unusual way.

But most the people I watch are crafters, kniting, sewing, jewlery, the less common arts.

Personally, I enjoy any traditional work.
Before I dwell into that, just about everything can be considered an art (in some sort of bizarre way).

Traditional has this magic to it.
Whenever I attempt to get some inspiration, I always avoid digital (there are a few exceptions).
Digital has never been able to inspire me.
Digital has just been too far ahead to inspire me at all. I like to see the strokes in a work of art.
I guess traditional just seems more natural than digital. To me.
I know just as much effort is put into both digital and traditional.

I'm impressed by artists who are able to incorporate movement/gestures/life into their drawings. for this reason I tend to avoid artists who just draw portraits or paint pretty faces... sure, it's nice and I can appreciate their work but it's not interesting nor memorable to me at all.

Not everything is art, but anything done well, can be an art.
Skills on many jobs can exceed the normal skills to become more of an art. So anything can be an art, but not everything is art.

I hope that statement is clear, because that is what I see as art. There is no such thing as dumb luck and presto you have art.

I know everyone likes to think with little effort they can call something art, but I rather award skills than make the their years of perfection look wasted.

yea i understand completely, i agree all the way. i really respect artists that spend a good chunk of time on their pieces, and not just slap things together and say, "look what i made.", and then get like millions off of it.

Traditional art interests me the most, I like to stray away from digital as much as possible. I prefer traditional because you get a more natural and more affect when you work with traditional art. Digital art almost looks completely manufactured. I feel like I can make more of an impact with traditional art than I ever could digital art. It's all a matter of opinion of course, traditional just comes off so much more crisp and real for me.

I specifically do and enjoy.

-Traditional Art
-Drawings
-Any subject (Games, Books, Movies, Etc)

yea thats true i know what you mean. and you never know if someone took some other person's work and just put it in theirs especially with technology these days. it could like nice though, the original stuff. but i also prefer traditional more.thanks for sharing
