Adoptables Preferences

Hey guys,

First, I understand there are some strong opinions out there about the practice of making, selling and using adoptables. While I can appreciate both sides of the argument, I'm really not looking to start a debate here.

I've been seen a lot of the artists I watch submitting adoptables as of late, and I decided to try my hand at them. Now, my question for you is what do you look for when deciding to purchase an adoptable? Do you like having more simplistic designs shown with three or four characters per submission, or a single, more detailed character? Are there certain character types you are looking for more than others (ex. the first set I created as a punk-ish street girl, a pirate girl and a ninja-esque girl).

At this point I've had twenty-seven views, but no comments or any interest shown in them. Is there something I should be doing differently?

I typically like cute adoptables with bright colors. The more detailed something an adoptable is, the better (simple works too, but more detail sells better).

If you have trouble selling adoptables, try bringing the price down. A typical adoptable is usually 5 to 50 points.

I haven't actually bought and adoptable but I've been very tempted to. I think yours might have a hard time selling because the quality is a bit lower and the designs aren't terribly unique. I may be wrong on this, but people generally want adoptables that aren't something they could do themselves.

I particularly like something like this because they're creative, unique, and appealing character designs that are very different from my kind of work.
