What are some of the best fanfictions you have ever read?

There are two kinds of fanfiction writers; the ones that care and actually put some effort into their fics (original stories, characters in-character). And the ones that could care less and write whatever weird situation the characters are in.

What fanfictions have you read that could be published if it was legal.
(Not that i'm saying fanfiction should be legal. Just saying.)

But to answer your question: There are so many. Since I stopped reading on ff.net and random livejournal communities, I haven't come across many stories that didn't tear my heart out (h/c all the way!). The most epic I can think of right now though is Alliterative Domiciles; Set in the Avengers, B/T/P, N/C and somewhat S/B. The characters are spot on, especially Nat and Clint -if the author were to seel it I'd buy it without thought

I stopped reading fanfiction a while ago, but there was one V for Vendetta fanfic I read when I was in high school called Love & Other Sharp Things that was excellent. A ton of research had been put into it, and all the characters were totally canon, it worked to a T.

Aside from written fanfiction, there's a fan series on youtube for Nolan's batman series called "Joker Blogs" that documents the therapy progress of Joker at Arkham Asylum as administrated by Dr. Harleen Quinzel(!). It is without a shadow of a doubt both the greatest fan project and greatest thing I have ever seen on youtube. The creators were actually let on the set of Dark Knight Rises to talk to the producers and allowed to look at the script so they could keep their project as canon as possible. Now that's someone who cares about their fic. ^_^ :[link]
