I was wondering if anyone could recommend any good art books based around contemporary or abstract art? I've only read "Big Eye Art: Resurrected & Transformed" and I actually liked it a lot. I'm just looking for things that could help me out aside from just practicing a lot, and googling a lot more.
I really like Lee Hammonds books. They're good if you want to study realistic drawings. Her website is leehammond.com I bought her portrait book and her crayon book
I found a really cool book the other day called "The Magic Mirror of M.C. Escher" which is really good so far. It's a great break down of all his work and how he did a lot of it. Very interesting, in my opinion.
