help with cars

I seem to suck at drawing cars. i was wondering if anyone had any tips for drawing them? i need help badly...:iconlazycryplz:

Cars...ugh. All about perspective, I have studied entire books on perspective and product drawing, and I still can't do it right. So many curves and shapes to keep track of, you REALLY got to have good construction lines for that. I have never been good at it. Takes alot of work! Good luck. :D

Me too. Which is why I don't draw. Line quality and confidence is important but it all falls apart without good perspective. It's the first thing people notice.

I couldn't find any examples in your gallery, but maybe that's saying something.
Probably, what you need to do is...

1. Draw 3D geometric shapes. Shade them.
2. Draw cars from observation. Think about geometric shapes while drawing them.

Study perspective - use the box technique. =) So long as you have a solid understanding of perspective and carefully think through the way the everything should look according to the perspective you set up you should do fine.

Use refrences, look at a car while drawing it.

A ruler and a frecnch curve can be helpful with anything mechanical, allowing you to make your straight likes straight, and your curves all the same.
