im having a hard time thinking what to do for my proj in sociology. the proj is to take a picture with us as the model with the theme "My Role in Society". i still haven't figure out what concept i'll do. anyone care to help??? the example roles that my prof gave to us was activist, deviant... im just a student-athlete taking info-tech. who hopes to get a stable job and face the world..

How about something like "a puzzle piece trying to find your fit in society." The idea being not that you are trying to be exactly like everyone else, or change things, but find your own shape and place that fits. At least that's what I was thinking while reading your description. I don't know if that helps but good luck

nice idea dude!! thanks a lot!! but how am i going to apply it in photography? i mean i get the idea of in life, "fitting in" shouldn't be geared towards fitting into society's place for you. It should be centered around understanding that each one of us has purpose in this world and instead of trying to fit into someone else's spot for us find your own. We all fit in someplace. kinda like that.

Somehow you could work a visual play on a puzzle piece. Turn the photo into a puzzle?

hmmm... but what do i do to make a concept that im a puzzle piece of my own in society in a photo?? im really having a hard time thinking about it >.<

You could cut out a shape of a puzzle, large enough to be seen in a photo, but small enough to be taped on your shirt. Then either get some other things (or people) and put puzzle pieces on them too. Make sure all the pieces look different, and you could look like you are trying to figure out what pieces to use.

Or get some cardboard and make a giant puzzle, and hold one of the pieces. The piece you hold could either say "me" or have your name, and put labels on the rest of the pieces, with things such as "friend" "family" "stable job" and look like you are trying to find where the piece you are holding goes.

Something along those lines.

I hope this helps. At the least I hope it helps you get some other ideas if these don't work.

thanks for the ideas dude! i'll get some more nice ideas along those lines. thanks a lot for your help!! by the way this project is due on the 30th of july, and if my professor liked it he'll exhibit it along the other projects he would like
