Drawing from Nightmares

Anyone else do that? You have a scary dream, so you draw what you remember, just to recapture your emotions?
I did a couple of things in Muro, and my peers were scared or thoroughly creeped out.

I wish.
I used to think I'd like to draw my dreams, but then realized it would be like taking a still from a movie & asking that one image to cover an entire narrative. And, my dreams normally aren't that exciting, but there's an emotional edge in them...
Check out the work of Giger- he claims his art is based on his nightmares.

Nightmares are the dreams I tend to remember most, and I have wanted to do this, but unfortunately I never got around to it :/ I still have a few nightmares I remember from years ago, perhaps one day I'll draw them.

I tend to be very affected by my nightmares, so they're kind of a good source of inspiration as long as I remember them...

I've never had a nightmare, but I do enjoy doing sketches from my dreams from time to time. They generally have very strong visual imagery, but it can take me months or years to be able to get the idea properly out of my head.

My dreams are really narrative and have a lot of interesting philosophy in them. I always feel incredible after I have a particularly strong dream.

That's funny... The ones I made are childish and eerie... They look like something a disturbed toddler would draw in art class.

It's really rare that I remember my dreams, and it's even more rare for me to have nightmares, so no, I don't. ^u^')

I sometimes try to, but it never really works out the way I want it to. I did draw some horrifying things, but since they're not real, I don't think they're that scary xD I've got some dreams (over 180) written down, and there are quite a few that I'd still love to paint or draw.

Dude, 180 dreams? All I dream about is action and sex.
the other 70% of my subconscious brain activity is concocting up my inner darknesses, which I fear.
Hence, "nightmare."
I guess I can draw them so well because it's most of what I remember.

Yes, that's only the dreams I've written down in the past 4 years, some of them I remember from when I was 6-9 years old. The earliest dreams I can remember:
1. I'm walking around in a land made of candy, eventually it turns out to be fake. Which was weird.
2. I was locked inside of a castle, where a monster lived that would eat one of us each night. I sacrificed myself the first night
3. Robots were chasing me, but they turned out to be my family members in costumes.

I used to dream about getting lost all the time, too.

Hell, I dreamt about killer cows once xD Most of my disturbing dreams, I think are quite interesting. I don't really have nightmares. The only nightmare I've ever had, has returned three times to my dreams, but it's very abstract, so I can't really draw it.

And I dream about a lot of different things. Most of the times, my dreams are boring. I like the ones in which I fly best.

In one disturbing dream I had, I was in a very dark room. There was a pit in the middle, and I went to look what was in it. At the bottom of the pit, there were a lot of dead babies. Just lying there. They shifted from actually being dead babies, to being drawings of dead babies. At the other end of the pit, three people sat in cages. There was a button in front of each cage, which would open their cage, but they couldn't reach the button. They were screaming a lot and it was quite frightening, to be honest with you xD Most scary dreams I have, I think are really interesting when I wake up. While dreaming, it isn't very fun though.
