Problems with perspective ?

How do you determine where to put the vanishing point? Also how do you choose which one to use ? i mean 1 point, 2 point or 3 point perspective ? my other problem is also placing figures, animals etc. in a landscape scene in perspective. My main language is not English so simple tutorials ( videos etc.) would be better for me. Or any tips from you :)

[link] This tutorial has multiple parts and goes into perspective very well. I don't know if the english will be too complicated for you, but even just the pictures will help you understand when to use one/two/three point perspective.

It's the same general idea. Trees and mountains would be your "blocks". You just get a little bit more freedom with them because they're not perfect shapes. I took some Magic: The Gathering land cards and added a vanishing point/horizon to them so you can see how perspective still works in landscape paintings. [link] Notice how they don't fit within the perspective lines perfectly, but it doesn't matter because they're natural objects? I would highly recommend you look at some other M:TG land cards because the artwork on them is always of high quality.

1 Point perspective the point is on the horizon line.
2 point usually the same
3 point imaginary secondary horizon above or below for the third point

Things get smaller as the go back in space in any kind of perspective.

I suggest you use only 2 vanishing points. And you actually can put them randomly! But both of them should be placed on one horizontal line.

Example:

I drew tiles using 2 vanishing points. and on those tiles you can draw whatever you need using perpendicular lines.
Hope it helped

I already told you which books to consult. Your questions are answered there in detail, with drawn examples.
