How do you tell someone that he is not ready for comissions?.

I am not a great artist (far from it), I don't feel I am or ever will worthy of ever "measuring the value" of an artist's art.

But I feel so sad to see people I like , that... let's just say need to practice a lot more...

I repeat I am far from being good, I am still learning to draw cubes!.

I don't want to mention examples, and I believe that one day they will be ready... But I don't want to be a meanie and hurt them

WHat would you do?

You don't.

A person can suck hairy monkey balls and draw stick figures, and they can still make themselves available for commissions if they want to.

Its a self correcting problem. If they're really bad, no one will ask.

You don't really need to do anything. I mean unless they're asking you. There's no harm in them saying they're open to them, so they might not get any... they might start asking why.
If they're asking you if they're ready just tell them in a nice way that they have potential but you think maybe they could work on this or that a little first. But I'd really only tell them that if they asked me directly.
