Where does style come from?

I would like to have my own style but I don't know if I have already an style...what do I have to do to get one? how did you get yours?

I think copying or tracing other peoples styles isn't a problem as long as it's for learning purposes. You don't have to show it to anyone but it makes you have a more intimate level of getting a feel for a style and how it works. Try out lots of other styles and take the elements you like the best from those styles and incorporate them into you're own art.

My style is different almost every time I paint, no real reason most of the time I don't realize it's different until I've finished it.

I think my style came from experimentation. I try different techniques, take a couple classes, and keep what I like. However, I try my best to make my work unusual.

Mine is a combination of all the video games I've ever played, childhood skills, and good ol' practice. People like me tend to do something that makes the work of art theirs. I kind of fell into my style.

Do a million drawings. The stuff that works sticks with you, the stuff that doesn't gradually disappears. There's your style.
