Is paper sketch drawing better, or smooth, computer/tablet drawing better?

Lemme ask you guys a question:
Do you guys like sketch drawing (paper) better or computer/tablet drawing?

My mother keeps discouraging me on computer/tablet drawings to start doing sketches instead. T_T

But I kind of think color sketching is kind of dull compared to the computer/tablet drawing, soo

which one is better: Computer/Tablet Drawing, Or Sketch Drawing?

I think both have their upsides and downsides, so just pick which ever one you like best!

There's no real answer here. It all depends on what YOU'RE comfortable doing most. The only thing I would encourage you doing is to explore both; each has is advantages and weaknesses. But in the end, you are making the art, so choose the medium you are most comfortable doing.

do what you like doing. I prefer traditional art in almost all cases, but that's just me.

I prefer to draw directly on the paper for sketching. And also you have to realize, even though the finish product for most is done on computers, there is traditional sketching. Its because you can take your book anywhere, and your not wasting battery power when you take it with you.

Im not understanding what she means. Its not wrong to sketch on the computer, but she right that you should also sketch traditionally.

Neither tablet or sketchbook is better then the other.

i prefer sketching better cause thats what im use to but it all depends on what suits you.

Hmmm, if your mom doesn't like you using the tablet...why does she let you use it (lol)
Try sketching and see the 'wonders' you can do with sketching and compare the 'wonders' you make on tablet and show them to
your mom to see which one she likes better.
I prefer sketching....//dies// I never used..(liar!) (me: Uwahh~!) ok i have used a tablet and I FAILED using it sooo..sketching on paper is good for me.
Yeah sketching isn't "dull" if you do one of those random rainbow sketches people make (I have no idea how to do it though) or you make a BOSS sketch then urhhh its not dull at all! (Unless if you make an emo guy like i did for a school project //fails//).

I don't use tablet since I don't even have one. XPP I use the mouse to draw. Another thing that my mother complains about is that drawing on the computer lacks "rich quality." I honestly don't care if there's "rich quality."
