So i am completely new to image altering. I need to take this picture. [link]

Size it down to the format of a cd cover. Then put a parental advisory sticker on the bottom right. (maybe). But i need to resize it.

I can download GIMP to do the resizing thats no problem. But i want to know can i put the sticker in it with GIMP? I dont want to spend any money on software that is expensive. I actually dont want to spend any money at all. A free trial to get this done is a good idea if you can suggest one.

I also dont want to spend a whole lot of time figuring something out it should be user friendly and not overly complicated. Also if it is complicated can you reference me to some decent tutorials?

I tried googling myself but i am confused on how to search it as most of my results have failed and i really didn't get anywhere.

Last but not least. What dimensions are usually on the cover's of cd albums? The guy who wants me to make this for him didnt specify anything hes just like "hey man i could use some cover art".

Any help is more then appreciated thanks in advanced if this works out it will save me alot of money and i wont have to ship him the piece.

Look up c.d. cover dimensions.
open your picture and resize the image. Image> Scale image.

The open your advisory picture a layer. File>open as layers.

The resize your layer to whatever size you want.

You can move then new layer with the move tool.
The tool with the 4 arrows.

Hope that helps.

You should be able to do both of what you need. For the resizing of the picture, I thought it'd be easier to see a screenshot than to handle me describe it. [link] You would just need to go to Image > Scale Image and you would wind up with the box displayed.

And you can get the parental advisory on there with GIMP, yes. But I don't know how to actually describe it to you since I don't do enough like that as of now. Maybe someone else could tell you.

I saw it! The fire is a really nice color and you 'piled' those matches up pretty well. What kind of music is this for?

my friend is a R&B / Rap artist. I was told to make a blue flame, and put the words Texas and SK Music in it. So i chose a pile of matches spelling out texas and have then being set on fire. Since blue flame shows there is no carbon burning i cant really have them actually burning -_-
