Koh-I-Noor is not a bad brand at all, but since I haven't used their watercolors I can't say whether they're any good. I use the tube paints anyway. Winsor & Newton is a reputable high end brand, but I rarely buy their stuff.
Thank goodness you chose the windsor and newton.. I dont really know the other but doesnt look good at all.. All that kind of watercolors that are displayed like that use to be bad: hard to water and poor in colour, on the other hand the ones that are packed in small cubes with paper around (like the ones you got) use to be good.
1. Winsor & Newman, Cotman, 12 pans - [link]
2. Koh-I-Noor, 24 pans - [link]
If anyone already used one of these brands, please, can you tell me what is the best?
