Needs Help in Understanding speedpainting

I need help in learning how to figure out speed painting, I'm following Purplekecleon's tutorial [link]
but so far I'm confused because of the layer structure i want to know anyone that had followed it successfully can help me figure it out. Thank you!

If you are talking about recording and uploading, after recording just speed the video up, add music, and your set :3

Learn all the techniques to paint at a proper speed first and you'll find that, the more you practice these things, the faster you get.

The lineart layer was duplicated and set to multiply to darken the lines. You can either follow this and have the colours on a separate layer, or you can paint on the same layer as the lineart. I prefer to keep the lineart and the colours separate, but you will find your own way which works best.

No problem, I'm glad I managed to help. Speedpainting is a lot of fun, there's enormous amounts of satisfaction gained from seeing so many pieces come out all at once.

yep especially when you record it too and look at what you have done :) that's satisfying almost as much as the work put into it!
