I'm having problems when I colour with copic/prisma markers and then scanning them. They come out faded and brighter in some areas but I'm not sure how to fix it. All you artests out there that use copic, how do you get your artwork to look awesome after scanning?

epson is great for copics and everything else, unfortunately i have to go into photoshop everytime to fix brightness levels, and have found no other solution D:

If you're using PS, I've found tinkering with the tone, color and contrast can fix the problem in 20 seconds. Actually, usually just clicking the 'auto' buttons will work (Though sometimes you have to go in and mess with it manually.)

Also, I recently upgraded to a new scanner. I was using a 7 year old Canon scanner, but recently upgraded to an Epson Perfection V30. It's a LOT better at keeping the scanned image closer to the original. I've found I have to spend far less time messing with the settings afterward in PS.

Sometimes it's a matter of playing with the levels in photoshop to get the scanned image to look a bit more like the original. Sometimes it's a luck thing and the scanner cooperates. And sometimes it's a "fuck it, this is as good as it gets" thing. Depends on the moment and mood. But honestly, a little digital correction can help balance out what the scanner screws up.
