I believe every artist have asked this at least once, and sometimes we get to think we're not good at what we do, it doesn't matter if it is photography or painting, literature or digital art, it always comes to our mind, and I believe this is because humans hesitate too much.
Farther than that, an Artist as Charlie Chaplin said: "Actors search for rejection. If they don't get it they reject themselves". and I believe it is just not actors it applies to every single artist.
I'm not here asking if I am good or not, or even discussing the matter if I'm even an artist, I don't know if I deserve this title yet, but one thing I know is that it is not about if you're good or not, it is ab out the art, the feelings as Aristotle (my favorite philosopher)said: "The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance".
So where do all this takes us? what is the purpose of this thread? my purpose is to know what other people believe in this topic.
that's exactly my point, and I'm glad there is some people that understand this, because I've seen many people like I've been here two weeks, but I've seen lots of people trying to get peoples attention by doing a favorite spree or things like that xD, and you go to their profile and all you see is lots of spam saying "thanks for the fav" ok I undertand they might like your work but somepeople they just try to get peoples attention by doing so.
Yes; It's really annoying when people are starving for attention like that. I'm like just do your art and be happy, attention should be secondary to your happiness when it comes to making your art.
same here, art is about not what other people think, is what you feel! is about being freed from this world, is about being happy and love what you do, but if you're just a mediocre and want attention then your art should be more like "selling pictures" xD
