Hatching and cross hatching with pen and ink. blending stumps with conte and toned paper to pull the look of "paint" off.

When knitting, I prefer DEN's to circulars. With clay, my favorite tools are knitting needles.

I like to paint with Oilpastels and then blend the colours by rubbing with my fingers

I often blend paint with my fingers because I'm too lazy to reach for a clean brush. :B

I do this a lot with watercolor pencils - laziness and wanting that unique texture that only fingertips can provide...

When drawing fingers indeed provide a texture other things cannot. Actually, it's the same with painting too.... :p
