Genius MousePen 8x6 Pen not working

I recently took out my genius tablet after a couple months, to find the stylus had suffered a battery leak, I took the battery and i followed instructions to recover the device (vinegar and baking powder, etc)

However it still doesn't seem to work :/

I even tested the terminals with a voltmeter, and it worked fine, but it didn't work on the tablet. the mouse also didn't work (which also experienced a battery leak)

I know the tablet works fine, because my computer recognizes it

I installed the driver that came with the CD, it didn't work.
I also installed newer drivers from the website, and again no improvement

So, I guess the pen and mouse are damaged, huh :/

Have you tried reinstalling the drivers, or getting a newer/older version? That's fixed pretty much any problem I've ever had with my tablet.

There is also the possibility that the pen and mouse are just ruined, even if they are getting power. Maybe something inside there got corrupted. If putting new drivers on there doesn't work then you might just need a new pen and mouse.
