Just asking if anyone knows of any programs that help with animation a friend of mine was telling me about a program they used back in school that you could setup where the joints in your image are and it would bend the image to make it easier to draw the next frame but he couldn't remember the name of the program.

any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Yea, toom boom, and anime studio are two programs that can do that.

The only thing is do you understand some principles of animation? Like squash and strech. Those are the things you can't get from bone animation.

Hi,

Anime studio does that. [link]
looks like the current price is $50 USD for the "debut" version and $200 for the "pro" version.

However, you can probably buy the next-to-latest pro version pretty cheap on ebay or amazon.com

Possibly Toon Boom? <- it's pretty common in animation schools.
