Redesigning one of my characters

Originally I was planning on making my alien jungle girl character, Corono Lia (pronounced Co-Row-No Lee), a love interest for my human character Geoff Harrison. That's why she looks so human (minus the green skin, hair, and yellow eyes).

Then I decided that it wouldn't work out that well in real life, especially considering Corono's species is reptilian.

So, with that in mind, I was thinking that I could redesign Corono to make her more alien looking, while still being cute at least. By that I mean giving her a more reptilian nose and/or muzzle, a mouth full of teeth like that of a crocodile, a tail (which would grow back if it was cut off), and having to shed her skin.

So should I re-design Corono to be more lizard looking?

Do it. Try it out. If you don't like it, then change her back.

You're the one who has to draw her, not us.

It's up to you. You don't really have to make have to make her look like a reptile all the way if you don't want to.

Well I was hoping that if I did she'd still be cute.

It depends on what your definition of "cute" is. Just sketch her out making her more or less reptilian-like until she fits your definition of cute. Some people like more humanoid aliens, while others don't care.

To make her nose more reptilian looking, would I have to just change it to 2 little slits between her eyes and above her mouth?

Yes, and you could also put larger scales there or something. Because not all slit-nosed characters are reptilian -- Voldermort from Harry Potter.

He was like that because of his connection to snakes though.
