It's basically buttons aligned along a grid much like how icons are spaced on the desktop, except that these buttons are text-based.
I'm having a hard time coming up with a button design that looks good and is functional. Style or shape of the grid isn't very important. Ideally the color scheme of the buttons can be varied so they are easily distinguishable from each other while still matching the color scheme.
Any ideas?
