Obviously I have to replace some of the textures (the lines on the horn, mouth, nostril, and add new eyelashes), but I want help on making the lines smoother. (Like the linework)
I'm working on PaintToolSai. My colors and shading are on different layers. I would like to keep them on different layers as much as possible.
Can anyone help me on this? Or perhaps can someone direct me to a lineless tutorial? I tried the obvious things (erasing and adding color) but it messed up the shading, and colors didn't blend nicely afterwards. Do I simply have to fix the outline (or lack thereof) before shading?
(Just in case anyone was wondering, I won't be uploading the lineless version of this picture when I figure out how to do it. I don't like editing old works, or uploading modified versions of the same picture. The picture is simply for practice purposes.)
2nd Question I would like to achieve premium membership on DA, but I cannot achieve it with real money for undisclosed reasons.
The only apparent way to do this is through points. (Or being given membership, but that won't happen) I have a donation pool set up, but I don't have reason to believe that I'll be receiving any substantial donations anytime soon.
I hesitate to do commissions, as I only have a small fanbase and lack confidence that my work is worth anything noticeable.
So I ask, is there another way to gain points? (No buying them)
If not, what would be a reasonable price to charge for commissions? Digital pieces take me anywhere from 4 - 10 hours to do, and you can see the quality (or lack thereof) in the above images.
I really don't want to put anyone off the idea of commissions by charging too much, but it doesn't seem beneficial to work ~7 hours on an image for a low price like 20 points (25 cents).
I would at least donate about 5 points to you without commission, but I don't have any right now. Maybe being more social and participate more would attract more attention and thus more people might (MIGHT) want to donate points to you.
I created a piece yesterday, and I noticed that it really looked amazing when I removed the linework.
