Gimp Start

I use the program Gimp and nothing else at the moment for digital art so I'm curious if the more experienced users of the program know of any good sites with helpful info and videos on it. I've only used it 4 times so anything helpful from the people of DA would be appreciated like adding brushes for example (I'm sure I can google that easily tho :)). I believe I got the basics down to make very simple artwork but I know very little of any kind of effects that could be done on gimp.

If it's for digital painting you can succefully use some photoshop tutorials, in other case just make use of youtube search bar :D

That's cool I'll try it out. I assumed photoshop and gimp pretty much did their steps differently so it would be harder to get the same effect.

Some techniques need to be done different way-right-but most of time you can paint pretty similar way comparing to photoshop.

Maybe gimp-tutorials.net could help you. There are many tutorials for different effects/creations/manipulations made with gimp.

Go to help in the program Gimp. It should say manual. Click on that, follow their instructions, and you should find yourself at the website.
