I've just recently decided I want to start doing some digital art, and since I already have an Ipad in my house, I might as well start with that. I searched up online to see some good drawing apps and I came up with PROCREATE. I was wondering if anybody knew about this app, and is it any good for a beginner?
PROCREATE! Ive tried almost every other drawing app, butt for some reasin procreate is the one that i always come back too. one of its best faetures is the blending tool, which allows you too blend colors, and create new ones.
Sketchbook pro is a great app. I have used most if not all of the drawings apps Brushes, Procreate, ArtsStudio, Inspire Pro, Artrage. I find Sketchbook pro fits my workflow better, I like the puck is uses for opacity and size and the pinning and un pinning of toolbars is nice. One of the newer features is a plam rejection disc that you can overlay on the screen that works really well. Most of the ones I have meantioned will work well however. Artrage, Inspire Pro and Artstudio try and mimic real media, I never could get used to it but it may be up your ally. Procreate is a great app, it's pretty, nice layout and has great brushes and you can get wonderful effects. A bunch of people are using it and from what I have seen is very capable.
I use a wacom Bambo Stylus right now. I have uses targus and pogo sketch also. The targus have a fatter tip, not really good for accuracy. The Pogo Sketch has a foam tip that wears out pretty quick, but the tip is small. I found the Bamboo to be a great weight and the tip is smaller than the Targus and not made of foam. The tip is also replaceable. I would also recommend the Adonit +Jot stylus. It has a prcision plastic disc and allows for great accracy on the iPad. I don't use one because I have a screen protector on mine and it doesnt slide very well.
I have an Ipad and I only do basic sketches. I find doing anything important or accurate to be a job for my PC and tablet. Its just easier. errr wow that was really unhelpful (Sorry ) but dont spend a fortune on apps
