Probably been mentioned a ton of times, but in PaintTool Sai using the 'Brush' tool with Blending set medium to high gives a marvelous painted effect. * u *
what I am curious to know is Sai is a lot funner for painting. But I gernallly don't use it because I can't get the canvas nearly large enough as I'd like it to be. It doesn't allow me to go up to the resolution I would like it to. Is there something I am missing that will allow me to use sai in a higher resolution? Or is that just not a do-able thing?
Paint tool sai would be more better for your digital paintings than PS. PS like stated above deals with photography mostly and while you can produce great works of art in it its very difficult very. The good thing about PS is that it has a ray of PS have brushes which is easier to install than sai, and although you can blend in PS its really sucky to be honest. SAI trumps PS because of the multiple pen options you get like pen marker, water , brush etc. and the textures help so much more than in PS where even then the pen sensitivities in PS is lacking but maybe that's just me because i hate to press down on something to actually show. The colors are much easier to blend in Sai because for each brush it has different functions for you to blend on the bottom of each brush and i also heard that sai is the best when it comes to line art. Plan and simple for finishing touches and effects PS and for digital painting use SAI.
I know how you're talented, so I'm sure you could do awesome things on the two softwares... xD But I'd say SAI is much better than Photoshop, because Photoshop is specialized in PHOTOgraphy : photomanipulation, etc... Photoshop is not the perfect program for art itself. SAI allows a greater art brushes quality and it's more easy to make speedpaints/paintings.But it has much less layer modes (6 xD) and the brushes custom is difficult D:
I'd advise you to try SAI in the end. But it's just my own opinion 8D
(Et désolé, j'ai écrit en anglais parce qu'on m'a repris une fois que les messages doivent être en anglais sur le forum orz)
No I am not! Mh? It's true the handling is a bit disconcerting at the first try compared with Photoshop. But you can trust me, SAI is good for speedpaintings owo And if you need help, your super-dragon-SAi-user-for-one-year is here!
I have a tablet, and I have Photoshop.
But I can't manage to control Photoshop enough to give this ''painting effect'' I try to achieve.
I often heard about SAI and about all the nice functionalities it has.
My question is, what program should I use to start painting and speed-painting? Do you have a preference? Why?
I'm all ears!
