Hi guys! I'm new here, and I've decided to start selling adoptables for points. But the thing is, I don't know how much to charge :/ so, what do you guys think? The only example I have now is this one:

Better than some, so i'd say about 30 points c:
But, just a bit of advice- maybe you should try designing something other than canines, they seem to be taking over dA, and theyve kinda stopped being original xD *i cant talk cos i always draw canines but yeaah :P *

I owudlnt be abel to say for sure. I'd say jsut start cheap and raise prices. What adoptable is worht is probably a lot. But since you are new it probbaly wont seel at a higt price. I dont do adoptables btu I helo my sis with them. And she;s been ehre for 3 months and still sell her adoptables at a maximum of 10 points normlaly 1-3 so I'd say you should just sell them at a price they WILL sell at and mayeb raise prices once you have more watchers.

I actually quite like the design myself, so i'd say you could get at least 30 but how much you can get for an adopt really depends on who sees it.

I'm guessing somewere between 25 and 40.

You could also just do an auction if you don't know how much to ask for them

I'd say 20, they're less crappy than most adoptables I've seen.

what exactly is an adoptable, I've been hearing about em off and on lately but have no idea what one is, what its for, or what the benefit of having one is

I'm pretty sure once you "adopt" them they're yours: Your own character. So you can uh, post them on your paaaaage, draw them... And that's the extend of what they seem to do.

so an adoptable is an uncopyrighted original character of some kind that someone is selling the rights to, on the surface it sounds like a reasonable thing but for some reason my mind is trying to rebel against the idea lol

Wrong. Anything someone creates is copyrighted unless they specifically say it's not. So they're characters that someone's selling the copyright for really cheap.

its still ridiculous, I ran a search for adoptibles and its like hundreds and hundreds of the same picture in different colors

They seem a lot like digital beanie-babies to me. Cutesy, collectible, and almost identical except for superficial stuff like color. Still a lot of people seem to like them.

Well yeah, but that's because they're largely made by 13 year olds and are rainbow wolves sold for like, 5 cents.

It always counts where you look. Some are quite unique designs other are ridiculous.
